Your new dream job

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate tasks, deployments, and system management to minimize errors and boost efficiency. This includes creating scripts, CI/CD pipelines, or automating infrastructure provisioning.
Reliability & Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the system uptime by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing system architecture.
Capacity Planning & Scaling: Assess and predict resource needs (CPU, memory, storage) to ensure scalable infrastructure. Implement auto-scaling to handle load spikes automatically, maintaining system performance under varying conditions.
System Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor system performance with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ElasticSearch to detect and resolve issues before they affect users. Quickly manage incidents to minimize downtime, handling documentation, communication, and post-incident reviews.
Incident Postmortems & Continuous Improvement: Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent future incidents. Apply fixes and best practices from postmortems to enhance system reliability and reduce recurrence.

Your typical day at Digistore24

Structure is everything: You start your day by checking your inbox in the ticket system and screening all messages in Slack. Based on that, you prioritize and plan your day.
First things first: Like every day, you block out time to work on the continuous development of our SRE processes. You’re not alone in this and can count on the support of your team.
It’s time for the daily video call with your team to discuss yesterday's progress and today's plans. You report on your priorities and blockers and receive tangible tips on how to solve your challenges.
For the next few hours, you turn off all messengers to focus on developing ideas for improvements in auto-scaling, monitoring, and alerting. After testing your ideas, you make a note of the successful strategies. You are looking forward to presenting them to the Head of IT Operations in the next one-on-one call!
After your lunch break, a developer needs your help with a new CI/CD workflow. You discuss the requirements with him and provide him with an initial prototype. Your teammate appreciates your clear explanation of a complex issue!
You take on a ticket to check an application’s resource allocation, review the current utilization, and adjust the deployment.
You find an endpoint not yet included in the monitoring. After creating a ticket for this, you immediately write the code in the Terraform project to add it.
You end your day with a great feeling: once again, you've learned something new and received fantastic feedback. It's amazing to see the impact you're making.

You’ll receive on-the-job onboarding and all the support you need to be successful! From day one, you will tackle real-life problems hands-on to learn about our code and software. We will provide coding sessions and code reviews to build our collective knowledge.
